MLP Friendship Carnival

I received many message from friends in March on news and information regarding Hong Kong first My Little Pony Friendship Carnival at AIA Vitality Park. Friends sending to me knowing K is a big fan of the ponies for over a year now. To avoid the crowd, we made arrangements to go after school on 29th,  with 2 of her "after school play buddies".

Obviously K and Tong are the little fans of MLP, both adores Twilight Sparkle (the purple one) most.  Him wasn't interested in ponies but had fun with the activities.

Entrance fees comes with $20 to be spent at the game booths. 7 free activities to collect stickers for prize drawing. The only charging activities (beside food and drinks booths) are face painting and specially printed photo with characters. Anyway, the ponies are coming out on stage to take pictures with kids and adults, I really don't see necessity to pay for it 🤭

K and her friends enjoyed the carnival. It's small but  definitely worth the money. We spent 2-3 hours there, done all free activities, took pictures with 3 characters, used our credits at the game booths.

p.s. My little pony is a great cartoon for kids. The episodes are all about positivity, friendships, embracing everyone despite differences, courage and many more positive values. I watch it with K and D, I know the name and specialty of the main characters, its easy for me to quote example when I'm teaching K of some values. She understands better when she can virtualize it.

Sai Yuen - Camping Adventure Park

Proclaim: I am not advertising for them, I am not paid to do this. This is just my review, my sharing, my experience.  Note: Mask on face at all time! Even when we are doing activities. Be safe, and don’t give a reason for these facilities to be forced to close too.   Last weekend, we took kids glamping at Sai Yuen aka the camping adventure park. It’s an outdoor adventure playground with over 11 acres of land on Cheung Chau. They offer different themes of camping areas include the Native America Teepee, African Safari Tent, Geodesic Dome and Mongolian Ger. And of course they have plenty of space where you could just bring your own tents and tools. It’s a different experience from our usual camping at public camp site.  It is private, well managed with facilities such as the cooking/ bbq areas, showers, toilets, children play area and having vending machines with snacks, drinks and even toiletries.  We took the express ferry from Central Piers to Cheung Chau. Then hop...

Be safe, and don’t give a reason for these facilities to be forced to close too.  Holiday farm is a family run, educational and interactive farm situated in Sheung Shui. It promotes green culture and environmental friendly lifestyle hence being there do make you feel closer to the nature; especially with their originality on play equipments. Last holiday, we took kids to Holiday Farm. Honestly, it’s an exciting place to be, we have a wonderful day, from 10 to 5pm 👍 Kids love everything they saw! The treehouse slides, the horses riding made with recycled materials, the barrel slides, the “carpets” slides, each of these gave so much fun and create unforgettable memories.  The activities are divided into 2 categories, the generals (include botanic gardens, boat through the pond, rickshaw, gr...

Balance beam 6. “A” wall  7. Spider webs  8. Barbed wire  9. A frame  10. Log jump Kids love every bits! Well, almost every single one except the mud pit which got them in a little bit of a sticky situation. There are moments which I’d love not to forget, moments that my kids made me so proud of myself as a mother 😂  We joint the open category for age 4 to 6, which K is 6y2m and D is 4y8m. They have been quite an active kids, of course I have no doubt in their capability to finish the challenge. However, they do surprise me with their team spirits and sharpness at taking down each obstacles.  K shows her determi...
